ABOUT US
The Harrogate Society of Lady Golf Captains was established in 1967 to promote continued friendship through competition & social occasions. Membership is open to any lady who holds, or has held, office as Captain of any of the 12 golf clubs in the Harrogate & District Union (Bedale, Harrogate, Ilkley, Knaresborough, Masham, Oakdale, Otley, Pannal, Ripon City, Romanby, Rudding Park & Thirsk & Northallerton). Membership is also open to those ladies who have been Captain of golf clubs outside the Harrogate Union but who are now members of a club within the Union. Playing & social memberships are available.

The Society runs Spring & Autumn golf meetings & bridge drives, as well as matches against other Lady Captains’ Societies (Bradford, Hull, Northumberland & Durham), a 4BBB Charity Day & a needle match against the men (Harrogate & District Society of Golf Captains)! Please see the FIXTURES page for a list of our events. A biennial International Meeting is also held with the Liverpudlian, Belgian & Swiss Lady Captains' Societies.

The Society is run by committee & a member from every Club in the Union sits on the committee to ensure that the interests of all clubs are represented.

Current subscription is £5.00 per year for playing membership & £3.00 for social membership. Further entry & match fees are also payable, where appropriate.
